Robi officials have bid farewell to their immediate-past Managing Director and CEO Supun Weerasinghe at an employee town hall in the capital.
Supun handed a cricket bat to Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, the company’s first Bangladeshi Managing Director and CEO, on Tuesday evening at the farewell party.
Supun will return to Dialog Axiata Plc, Sri Lanka's premier connectivity provider in the capacity of the Group's Deputy Chief Executive and CEO designate.
Supun will be appointed Group Chief Executive Officer of Dialog effective on January1, 2017 upon completion of the transition from its legendary CEO Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya who earlier was appointed as the Regional Chief Executive Officer for South Asia Region of Axiata Group.
Tan RSI Claudina Ibrahim, Axiata’s President and Group Chief Executive Officer (CLEO); Regional CEO for South Asia, Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya; Senior leadership team of Agata along with the members of Robi’s Management Council and staff were also present to grace the occasion.
