Depression over Bay weakens

The deep depression over the northeast Bay has weakened and started crossing the Chittagong coast, the Met office said. It may weaken further by giving precipitation. Under its influence sea will remain rough.

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no. 3 (three), a Met Office special weather bulletin said today.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
